Hope Caps started in 1998, when our founder, Diane Pounder, was going through her own chemotherapy and couldn't find headwear that felt like her. Everything on the shelf felt clinical. Built for a diagnosis, not for a person. So she started sewing her own — and Hope Caps was born, one handmade piece at a time, out of Mississauga, Ontario.
Nearly three decades later, that mission hasn't changed, even as the hands behind it have. Diane passed the business on to her daughter-in-law, Zara Ogden-Pounder, with granddaughter Hannah joining as junior partner. We're now Hope Caps & Accessories — same handmade quality, same personal care, same simple idea: you deserve to feel like you, no matter what your hair is doing.
